The Soap Box Derby is for boys and girls ages 8-17. We plan to hold three divisions-stock, super stock and masters. This is the first time for masters. The winner of each of the three divisions will receive $1000.00 toward their expenses to Akron, Ohio to compete in the World Championship Soap Box Derby. There will be racers from the United States and five foreign countries at Akron.

Registration deadline for the local race is May 15, 2008, but it is recommended they register as soon as possible so it will give time to order their derby kit from Akron and have it built for the local race by inspection time June 7th.
