The presenter will be Paul Walker, who is presently the Initial Flight Screening Program Manager for Doss Aviation in Pueblo, Colorado. Mr. Walker retired in 2006 from active duty as a Colonel following a 25 year career in the United States Air Force.

Every pilot candidate for the US Air Force attends Initial Flight Screening. The Initial Flight Screening Program is a process whereby the Air Force selects prospective USAF pilots out of the aviation candidates from the Air Force Academy and the numerous ROTC programs around the nation. The fresh graduates go through the screening to see if they have the mettle to go on for full pilot training. This works out better than having them wash out of pilot training after spending a couple of hundred thousand dollars in basic pilot training.

This will be an exciting as well as fascinating presentation. Hope you can join us!


The Pueblo Pachyderm Club meets on first and third Fridays each month at La Renaissance Restaurant, 11:30am - 1:00pm. A guest speaker addresses local, state, and/or national issues. Our club is an affiliate of the National Federation of the Grand Order of Pachyderm Clubs, an officially recognized allied organization of the Republican Party. $12/person (member or nonmember) includes buffet lunch.
