*YOU* can tell Pueblo about an <b>unsung hero</b>'s Labor of Love!<br /> <b>The Strength of Your Service Is Your People</b><br /><br /> We really appreciate Pueblo’s great volunteers.<br /> But what about those <b>extraordinary employees</b> working for rather nominal salaries, giving their all for a...<br /> <b>Labor of Love!</b><br /><br /> We have already heard about:<br /> • Phyllis Duran, who was instrumental in getting Pueblo its new office.<br /> Sandy Daff, Director of Human Relations; long active with Neighborworks<br /><br /> At Labor Day, let’s tell all Pueblo about <b>your</b> favorite unsung hero of service to the common good!<br /> Do you know an employee at a nonprofit or government service agency you would like our whole community to thank? Please nominate them for recognition.<br /><br /> <b>We will highlight the story of their service</b>, along with their picture, on the PuebloServes.org web site, and I will take him/her to <b>lunch or dinner at their favorite Pueblo restaurant</b> - and take down the story of what it means to them to serve in Pueblo. <br /><br /> Following a week of hard news for service agencies, which heard the City Council complain about their salaries and cut their funding, we would like to offer some recognition for an exemplary employee (and its agency). Let’s get the word out about the hard-working, underpaid men and women of great heart in Pueblo.<br /><br /> Please email the name of the person you want to nominate, a few words about the role in which they serve, and how I may reach them (so we may request their permission). During labor day week we will start to list some of the nominees and ask members of the nonprofit and government service sectors to vote on the nominees.<br /> Multiple nominations of the same individual by several contributions will certainly be taken into account. Please also mention how in what role you know your nominee (e.g., do the work with you, serve on a committe with your, or have you just seen their heartful work?).<br /><br /> Questions?
