In the Spirit of Self-Realization Fellowship

This gathering is now associated with Self-Realization Fellowship (see link above), the international society formed in the 1920s by Paramahansa Yogananda and headquartered in Los Angeles, California as an "SRF Meditation Circle" — and follows the intent and format of SRF services to offer for SRF friends, students, and members a home-away-from home.
If you are new to Yogananda’s blending of eastern and western paths to self-realization, you might want to see the SRF home site linked below. More intimately, I suggest to newcomers to enjoy the fascinating story of Yogananda’s spiritual search and legacy in Autobiography of a Yogi (the comprehensive editions in gold/ochre covers), carried by most large-scale book stores.
You can see Richard's review of the book in the "Spotlighted Reviews" at Amazon:

Goal: The Realization of the Divinity within Us

As Jesus did, Yogananda extolled the uplifting value of joining together for prayer and divine contemplation with other dedicated seekers: hence these gatherings.
Please feel free to contact Richard Pinneau via email: personal (at) puebloserves(dot)org — or via phone (719) 485-0123(home) or (719) 821-9200 (cell) for further information.
Richard helped organize an SRF meditation group in North Carolina which has been meeting for over twenty years. He frequently served as a group officer, service reader, and harmonium player.
Yogananda taught a spiritual path that combined personal devotional relationship with The Divine, right behavior, and meditative discipline. In his Autobiography he encouraged spiritual seekers not to accept SRF teachings blindly but to test them in the laboratory of their own spiritual lives:

Seek until you find the spiritual teaching which draws and fully satisfies your own heart. And once having found it, let nothing touch your loyalty again. Give that path your full attention. Put your entire consciousness upon it, and you will find the results you are seeking.”
