Basics about Southern Colorado Rocketeers

The section has two launches per month at the Hudson Ranch located 9.5 miles South west of Pueblo on Colorado 78 (Beulah Highway).

Model and Large model rocket flying is done on the FIRST Saturday of the month starting at 9 AM and typically lasting until 2 PM. Model and High Power rocket flying is done on the THIRD Saturday of the month. Rockets are authorized to fly to an altitude of 8,000 feet Above Ground Level (AGL) under FAA Waiver.

The club hosts a model rocket building session at the Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum on the SECOND Saturday of the month starting at 9 AM. Please arrive promptly. Rockets are free of charge and participants are encouraged to bring their completed rockets to a club launch. Cost is $3 museum admission. This is less than half the normal museum admission price.

The club will also bring a model rocket building to your location for schools and youth organizations. Cost is free but a donation to the Southern Colorado Rocketeers is greatly appreciated. Contact the club for details.
