Mission Statement for SCPC

SCPC is an organization for professionals in the field of print journalism, advertising, public relations, photojournalism, graphic arts, web design, internet communications and radio/ television broadcasting.

Members also include retired communications professionals and college students majoring in Mass Communications.

Press Club strives to nurture and enhance relationships between media and the local community by promoting free exchange of ideas and responsible dissemination of news.

Monthly Press Club Meetings

Second Wednesday of each month, 11:30-1:00pm. Networking and lunch begin at 11:30; a guest speaker on some vital community topic begins his/her presentation at 12:00 noon.

Location: Usually at Angelo’s Pizza on Union Avenue on the Riverwalk.
Cost: $10/member; $12/nonmember.

                nonprofits usually starts about 9am
                at Rawlings Library ]
