What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a Chinese medicinal art and science that has been used for thousands of years. Along with Chinese herbal remedies, acupuncture is a part of TCM: Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Acupuncture is a recognized effective treatment for many problems that afflict modern American life. It is recognized by the American Medical Assn and by many major insurance companies (although this clinic forgoes handling insurance in favor of keeping costs as low as possible).
Needles? If you have never had an acupuncture treatment you may wonder about the needles. You don't need to. They are hair-thin, far thinner than anything you'll see in the office of a doctor of western medicine. Needles are sterile: and are discarded after each patient.

Our Training

Susan Kimpton, L.Ac., has been practicing acupuncture for over 20 years. She received her training from the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in Oakland, California and apprenticed under a reknown teacher of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
She continues to hold licenses to practice acupuncture in the states of Colorado, Hawaii, and California.
Desiring to make acupuncture affordable to all, Susan does not process insurance in order to keep her cost to you as low as possible.
